Born in Kobe, Japan on March 29, 1966. Kanatani was studying at Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris, and at the Univercite Musicale Internationale de Paris (UMIP). Amongst many national and international awards, Kanatani received the first prize at the 2nd Chanterelle International Guitar Competition and was awarded the third place at the 43rd Tokyo International Guitar Competition. Kanatani is highly regarded for his refined expression and musicality. |
