She has studied guitar playing under Kazuo Oiso, Ken-ichi Ebe, Ermanno Bottiglieri, and chord progression under Akio Miyoshi, Akio Sasaki, and classical music harmony and counterpoint under Kiiko Kojima, and Eectone playing and arrangement under Masa Matsuda. Also she attended a master class of Stefano Grondona.

Ms. Shiino won in the Electone Arrangement Competition in 1992, the composition division of the Sere Music Competition in 1997, the GFP Guitar Audition in 2004, the AJGA Amateur Guitar Competition in 2004, and the Moisycos International Guitar Competition in 2007.

Now, she still is studing jazz piano playing and composition under Shusei Murai. she is a member of a
All Japan Electone Teacher's Association.
